Welcome to EDarker.com !

Starry night skies and a large autumn moon a romantic night do make, no?
No. Not in the world of Elizabeth Darker at least. With the setting sun comes a wide array of immortal devils to stalk the moral souls of mankind - and guardian angels are few and far between. Vampires, werewolves, and an army of corrupt hunters lurk in the shadows of a distorted world of illusion.

Busy Holiday

It's been a little insane here. Well, a lot insane here. So many things have happened in my personal life and I've been very much caught up with my son, school and with Tasha. Unfortunately, I haven't had much time at all to write. I haven't had much inspiration either.
Just as I was about to announce the winner of my contest my computer failed and I had no way to get online. I'll be announcing that on Monday, because it feels right to be doing it at the start of the week. The book was put on hold until some final kinks were worked out, but that will be available within the next few days.

NaNoWriMo Meet-Up

I just got back from my first NaNoWriMo Meet-Up. It was a blast! I got to meet some great people and have a lot of fun! I got so lost on my way to Wilkes-Barre. For those of you who don't know, I live a little over an hour away from there. I spent a half an hour driving around in circles. I was very thankful when I finally made it to the meeting.

Contest Announcement!

That's right! I'm having a contest! I told you all it was coming but you didn't believe me, did you?
As some of you know I've been working hard on putting together a small collection of short stories. This is by request. Many people have told me that they prefer to read content in book form rather than on a computer screen - I agree. I'd rather have a book infront of me than a bright screen. So, I've taken my collection of short stories, picked my favorites and written a few more, and compiled them together into a book.
What does this have to do with the contest? Well, I'm glad you asked!

The old house sat large and intimidating at
the top of Old Stone Hill like a giant looking
down over the rest of the town. The crescent
of a moon had just swept past the tall,
steeple of a roof that erupted from the rest
of the house as if it were an extraordinary
church. The owners were proud of their old
Victorian. In those days it was hard to find
such fantastic real estate in such a fine
neighborhood. The light of the moon cast
down over the lush lawn and made it look
like a sea of silver as it waved gently in the
cool nighttime breeze.

Only one, dim yellow light was left to
illuminate the house. All the other windows
had been left blackened by the midnight hour.
In that one brightened window a small figure
could be seen sitting upon her bed, her golden
curled locks falling over her shoulders as she
played with tiny dolls.
